The World’s Worst Disasters is a BBC docuseries detailing some of the worst natural disasters to occur in recent human history, and how those disasters affect humans who happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. From catastrophic volcanic eruptions the likes of Mount Vesuvius; to the San Francisco earthquake in 1906 that virtually leveled the entire city; as well as extreme weather such as the “Storm of the Century”, a 1993 massive snowstorm that buried the U.S. Eastern Seaboard in feet of snow; and even lesser thought of natural disasters such as the 1968 Peruvian landslide, when half a mountain fell, killing upwards of 20,000 people in mere minutes.
