The Fall is a must see for everyone who loves cop dramas. This psychological thriller follows two hunters with very different prey. The killer is a seemingly normal man named Paul Spector. He’s a psychiatrist, husband and father who’s clearly living a double life. This show evokes everyone’s worst nightmare: the supposedly normal man next door is really a twisted killer. A female detective from London Metro Police is sent to Belfast, Northern Ireland to help solve the case. The local authorities have never dealt with a sexual serial killer before and feel way over their heads. Everyone’s hoping the new detective will be their saving grace. DSI Stella Gibson heads a task force of people dedicated to solving crime sprees. Their motto: anyone not part of the solution is part of the problem.
The killer evokes a cat and mouse game that will make this the hardest case Gibson ever worked on. Even scarier, is how much Gibson and the killer have in common. Will their similarities make it even harder for DSI Gibson to catch her killer? The show doesn’t have a lot of glossy moments or blood and guts, but it’s filled with tension. Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan are great leads that feed of each person’s personalities even when their motivations are totally different.
The Fall is a Netflix original, but you can stream it on Amazon as well.. The episodes will keep you on the edge of your seat and ready to instantly view the next hour. Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming for a total of 11 episodes before season 2 arrives in 2016.
