It’s funny how sometimes the most nerdtastic series and films can slip right by us dedicated science fiction fans where they sit in a cinematic purgatory awaiting the possibility of being worthy of a mediocre cult following. As much as we adore bragging of our obscure favorites and feeling as if our superior taste in arcane film makes us feel mightier than thou, we discover a gem so multi-faceted it would be a great injustice to do any less than promote the frickin’ heck right out of it! Thanks to Hulu sci-fi fans can now revel in the next classic anthology series Dimension 404.

Set in a parallel universe that exists deep within the portals of the internet, Dimension 404 is a lost reality where the impossible is possible and technology has evolved into the kinda stuff nightmares are made of. Streaming exclusively on Hulu Dimension 404 is a criminally under appreciated series that is guaranteed to leave you clawing for more. Reminiscent of genre favorites like The Twilight Zone and Black Mirror, Dimension 404 does offer a social commentary but the feelings of profound existential crisis are swapped out for a delightful and campy humor to accentuate the series’ nostalgic 80s and early 90s influences as opposed to shock factor.

Check out the official trailer for Hulu original series Dimension 404:

Dimension 404 is stupendously upbeat so although it is quite nostalgic of aforementioned series, it manages to find it’s own unique niche among anthology, science fiction or horror series. Apart from its obvious homage to the golden age of science fiction movies and television and being a genuinely fun series to watch Dimension 404 features a very talented cast of both familiar and fresh faces. Starring comedian Patton Oswalt (The King of Queens, Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return), Mark Hamill (Star Wars, Sushi Girl), Lea Michele (Glee, Scream Queens), Joel McHale (The Soup, Ted), Lorenza Izzo (The Green Inferno, Knock Knock), Robert Buckley (iZombie, One Tree Hill) and many more, I can honestly say it was Michele and Izzo’s names on the bill that caught my attention, in turn luring me in as a forever faithful and enthusiastic fan of Hulu’s kick-*** original series Dimension 404.

You can catch all six episodes of season one of Dimension 404 streaming exclusively on Hulu. With a run time of approximately 45 minutes per episode Dimension 404 won’t exasperate too much of your valuable time and I am quite confident when I tell you it would not have been wasted either. Significantly more  fun than it is ferocious Dimension 404 is the most refreshing science fiction series out there for you at this moment and just so happens to be suitable for family viewing as well. Humorous, exciting and suspenseful – let us know your thoughts on Dimension 404 in the comments section below!

Dimension 404 is highly recommended for fans of series such as Black Mirror, Tron, Parasyte: The Maxim, The Twilight Zone, Miss 2059,  The Outer LimitsStranger Things, Doctor Who, Scream Queens, Masters of Horror,  and Are You Afraid of the Dark?
